Custom Synthetic Wooden Standees

Prepare your artwork for custom wooden standees with Vograce. This guide covers double-sided printing, sizing, borders, bleed, base design, and file requirements to help you get your designs ready for production.

Wooden Standee Design Guidelines

1. Double-Sided Printing

When the same artwork is printed on both sides, the back design will be mirrored by default.

For different front and back designs:

• Select "Double sided different designs" when ordering.

• Upload the front and back artwork separately.

• Clearly label each design or place them on separate layers.

Important: If your artwork contains text, provide correctly oriented designs for both sides to prevent mirrored text on the back.

2. Size and Measurement

Wooden standee size is measured by the longest edge of the finished wooden piece, including the border—not just the printed artwork.

• Consider the complete outline when choosing your standee size.

• Keep important artwork details away from the cutting edges.

• Check the available size and material options before ordering.

3. Default Border Width

The standard wooden standee border width is 1 mm.

• If you prefer a 2 mm border, specify this in your order notes.

• You do not need to draw the cutting outline yourself.

• Simply upload your original artwork, and our designers will prepare the cutting outline for you.

If you have specific requirements for the outline, clearly describe them when placing your order.

4. Borderless Wooden Standees

For borderless designs, a 0.2–0.5 mm external bleed is recommended to reduce the risk of cutting misalignment.

• Extend the background artwork beyond the intended cutting edge.

• Avoid placing important details directly along the edges.

• You do not need to draw the cutline yourself. Our designers will prepare it based on your artwork.

Please follow the additional cutting and minimum-width requirements listed on that product page. Avoid thick decorative outlines near the cutting edge, as they may become misaligned or partially cut off.

5. Standee Base Design

The base supports the wooden standee and should be considered when preparing your design.

• Check the base dimensions and shape options available for your selected product.

• For standard natural and synthetic wooden standees, a base with equal length and width is made round by default.

• If you prefer a different base shape, specify your requirements in the order notes.

For full-bleed synthetic wooden standees, the base plate does not require additional bleed. Follow the corresponding product's requirements for the stand insert and cutting dimensions.

6. File Formats and Resolution

For clear and accurate printing, prepare your artwork according to the following specifications:

Use high-resolution artwork and avoid enlarging small images beyond their intended printing dimensions.

For double-sided printing, keep front and back designs clearly separated. If you have special artwork requirements, include clear instructions when uploading your files.

7. Material and Printing Considerations

Vograce offers both natural and synthetic wooden standees, each with different material characteristics.

• Natural wood: Natural variations in grain, color, and texture may affect the finished appearance.

• Synthetic wood: Offers alternative wood-style materials and colors for custom designs.

• Fine details: Keep small text and thin lines sufficiently clear to maintain visibility after printing.

Before Placing Your Order

Please check that:

• Your selected size includes the wooden border.

• Front and back artwork is correctly oriented.

• Any requested 2 mm border is clearly specified.

• Borderless designs include the recommended bleed.

• The standee base requirements are clearly communicated.

• Fine lines meet the applicable printing specifications.

• Files have the correct format, resolution, and color mode.

1. When Will I Receive My Artwork Proof?

For eligible orders of more than 5 pieces, including products such as custom keychains, button pins, standees, stickers, and pillows, Vograce generally sends digital proofs by email within 2–5 working days.

Once you receive your proof, please check the artwork and confirm that everything looks correct before production begins.

Ordering 5 pieces or fewer? If you'd like to review a proof, please leave a note requesting proof confirmation when placing your order.

Proof requirements may vary depending on the product and customization details.

2. How to Review & Confirm Your Proof

When your proof arrives, carefully review the details relevant to your design, including:

• Artwork & Layout: Check the design, orientation, and placement.

• Cutlines & Borders: Review the cutting outline and borders, if applicable.

• Text & Colors: Check spelling, artwork details, and color arrangements.

• Special Requirements: Verify any requested customization details shown in the proof.

If anything needs adjustment, reply to the proof email with clear instructions before approving it.

Important: For orders requiring proof confirmation, production will begin only after you approve the artwork.

We recommend checking your email regularly after placing an order to avoid unnecessary delays.

3. How Is Production Time Calculated?

Proof confirmation time is not included in the estimated production time.

For orders requiring approval, the production timeline begins after your artwork proof has been confirmed.

The overall order timeline may include:

1. Artwork Review & Proof Preparation: Your design is reviewed, and a proof is prepared when required.

2. Proof Confirmation: You review and approve the artwork or request adjustments.

3. Production: Your customized products are manufactured according to the approved design.

4. Shipping & Delivery: Your completed order is dispatched using the selected shipping method.

Production times vary by product type, quantity, and customization requirements.

4. Ordering Multiple Custom Products?

If your order contains different product types, the estimated shipping date is based on the item with the longest production time.

For example, if you order custom stickers and acrylic keychains together, the overall production schedule will depend on whichever product takes longer to manufacture.
