Dokomi 2025 Recap: Hard Enamel vs. Soft Enamel Explained
We recently exhibited at Dokomi 2025 in Düsseldorf, Germany, where numerous visitors
explored our products and shared valuable feedback. One question stood out:
What’s the difference between hard enamel and soft enamel?
While both types use the same die-cast molds, their production processes differ significantly.
Hard Enamel: Colors are filled and baked first, then polished and plated, creating a smooth, glossy finish.
Soft Enamel: Polishing and plating happen before coloring and baking, yielding a textured surface
with raised metal borders and recessed enamel.
